the vault

this wave in the background? that’s me and twenty-some surfers riding a party wave after a paddle-out to honor my dog mojo. the vault works the same way, every piece here carries its own story, memory, and meaning. not all were made under VAKA, but all directed and/or creative directed by me and they reflect the vision and craft I bring into the work today.

    Powerade Fuel Injected

    A few months before the 1996 Olympics, I was directing a Powerade commercial featuring Donovan Bailey. Everyone was focused on the race. I became obsessed with a tire.
